Florida Bass Nation (FBN) Anglers are required to register in the URL www.weighbook.com in order to be able to Fish FBN Trails.  

FBN will only be utilizing WEIGHBOOK and no longer be utilizing Fishing Chaos. 

FBN Anglers after registering do a search for Florida BASS Trails and sigh-up for a Trail (Bass Pro/Am or Team).

FBN Anglers, 

Based upon our total numbers from 2026, BASS Nation is awarding us the following berths. Also, we will need to put together a State Team, made up of the 3rd through 12th place finishers in the AOY and CAOY standings. Of course, should someone from the 3rd through 12th place decide they don’t want to compete in the Southeast Regional, we will go down the standings accordingly. This State Team will go to the Southeast Regional. The top finishing boater and non-boater of the ten (10) will get a berth to the BASS Nation Championship. With that the maximum number of boaters and non-boaters to compete in the Nation Championship from Florida is three (3). If you have any questions, give me a shout-out.

All states berths have been reduced across the board. Texas has the largest number of active members with 755, and they are receiving only three (3) berths plus one (1) from their State Team at the Regional. The states with less than 100 active members will only get one (1) berth from their State Team at the appropriate Regional.​

Clay,

1. The first two (2) spots will be AOY and runner up and CAOY and runner up and they will receive an automatic berth the 2027 BASS Nation Championship.
2. Then the State Team that will go to the Southeast Regional will consist of the 3rd through 12th place finishers in the AOY and CAOY.
   1. The top boater and non-boater from the Southeast Regional will get a berth to the BASS Nation Championship
3. Total number of berths to the BASS Nation Championship will be three (3)

“All Florida BASS Nation Members:

With the 2026 – 2027 tournament season just around the corner, I want to make sure everyone is aware of the following changes that have been made going forward.

1. Statewide Tournament Trails, Pro-Am and Team Series
   1. Each series will consist of six (6) qualifying tournaments, two (2) each in the following regions, North, Central & South
   2. To qualify for the State Championship in each series, you must do the following

                                                  i.     Compete in a minimum of three (3) qualifying tournaments in the corresponding series (Pro-Am or Team)
                                                 ii.     At the completion of all six (6) qualifying tournaments in each series, you must finish in the top 85%

1. Angler of the Year, Co-Angler of the Year and Team of the Year will be decided by the overall points standings, including the State Championship
2. Advancement to the next level of tournaments, i.e., Nation Championships, etc., will be decided by the AOY, CAOY or TAOY points standings
3. The payout schedule for the qualifying tournaments

                                                  i.     70% of the entry fee (less the big fish pot)
                                                 ii.     Pay one (1) place for every seven (7) entries
                                               iii.     Big fish, one (1) per category

1. Angler, $10.00 per registered angler
2. Co-angler, $10.00 per registered co-angler
3. Team, $20.00 per registered team
4. The payout schedule for the State Championship tournaments

                                                  i.     85% of the entry fee (less the big fish pot)

4. Registration and Weigh In platform
   1. Beginning with the first qualifying tournaments, we are changing the platform from Fishing Chaos to Weighbook for some of the reasons listed below.

                                                  i.     Cost to everyone registering for a qualifier or championship tournament, $2.00 per registration

1. No subscription fees

                                                 ii.     Ease of use

1. The Weighbook app has several tutorials to help with everything from registering from your cell phone, registering from a computer, to connecting a scale for weigh in, etc.

                                               iii.     No additional fees to Florida BASS Nation

1. Email
2. Texting
3. “Big screen” operations for weigh in
4. Messaging to all members with links to upcoming tournaments to make it easier to register

                                               iv.     Leaderboards

1. Live leaderboards, same as Fishing Chaos, once a catch has been weighed and submitted the leaderboards will immediately update

                                                 v.     Standings

1. Point standings will be posted directly on the Weighbook app at the completion of each tournament
2. The cumulative points totals will be automatically updated at the completion of each tournament

                                               vi.     Roster Management

1. I am working with the Owner of Weighbook to develop a system like the BASS Nation roster system for the Florda BASS Nation State dues
   1. Every Club will be able to go into the Roster system and create an invoice and pay their individual Clubs state dues
   2. The current rosters submitted to Florida BASS Nation will be uploaded to this system for easy use and less DATA input required on the Club

1. I have had many conversations as well as “Zoom” meetings and emails with the Owner / Developer of Weighbook with assurances to support our efforts
2. I have already configured the first two (2) qualifying tournaments with little assistance required, only a review to make sure I hadn’t missed anything

 
In closing, I am looking forward to an exciting new season and embracing the possibilities that come with these changes. With every change in anything we do, there will be concerns and growing pains, with that, I ask for your patience and willingness to try the “NEW” things outlined.

Florida The Bass Federation (TBF)

Quick Summary 

• Membership must have - TBF National Dues (includes both TBF and MLF subscriber membership).
• Membership must also have - MLF Membership w/ out it, Angler will not be able to progress if winning. 
• State Trail Type
• Must fish 4 days to qualify for State Championship
• Trails consist of 4 derbies 2 days each
• Boater and non-boater type of trail

Note, each state may send Top Angler and Top Co-Angler to TBF National Championship, if they choose to go then next 6 anglers will comprise the state team. 

Value-Can go to National Semi-Final, National Championship

National Championship Location not posted at this time 07/30/2026, to qualify angler and co-angler must place in the top 6 from the Semi-Final.
Ultimate goal – “Live a Dream Package” excessive $125,000, comprise of 7 regions and after 2 days of fishing the top 2 anglers from each region advance to final day. Top angler of each division receives an invite to the All American, provided they have upgraded MLF membership.
Dream package Winning Angler, new Ranger Z520 powered Mercury 250Hp, $20,000, and paid stipend into whatever tournament trail they want to fish. Winning Co-Angler, $30,000. Including paid stipend into the circuit of choice. ​

Hey TWBA Solo Warriors,

I believe Solo Warrior Summer Trail is rolling faster down the hill due to the amount of increase anglers signing up. Q3 of 4 had the most participation. Advise any ideas to continue this momentum. 

I believe including a summary of the total length of fish submitted for each qualifier + Championship will enhance data and assist in our marketing efforts.  Please advise.
